Islamiyyah Syariah Diploma is one of the study programs offered to give students exposure to the latest knowledge of Sharia studies. This program is run by lecturers with extensive experience in fiqh, sharia and management. Student learning methods are through lectures, tutorials, scientific training and industrial training.

The Islamiyah Syariah Diploma (DSI) was introduced at Baitulmal Kuala Lumpur Professional College (KPBKL) for the first intake in April 2018. In line with the goals, objectives and learning outcomes of the DSI program – producing graduates who are able to master matters of worship and prayer based on the Al-Quran and As- Sunnah and graduates who are equipped with soft skills. In line with the college’s vision to produce competent and holistic scientists to be able to face current challenges and needs. This Islamiyah Syariah Diploma Program (DSI) offers courses that are relevant to the current needs in accordance with the latest level of study. Between courses offered are as below:

  • Usul Fiqh
  • Fiqh of Worship
  • Criminal Jurisprudence
  • Jurisprudence of Muamalat
  • Fiqh Munakahat
  • Mawarith jurisprudence
  • Fiqh method
  • Industrial training
  • Introduction to the Legal System in Malaysia
  • Management of Islamic Da’wah In Malaysia
  • Date of Tasyri’
  • Islamic Administrative Law In Malaysia

This program aims to produce graduates who:

1. Be able to master the knowledge of Islamic Sharia
2. Able to identify problems and issues related to sharia and suggest a solution
3. Able to apply sharia knowledge according to Al-Quran and As-Sunnah in meet current needs and wants
4. Able to provide appropriate services to the community through various activities related to the field of sharia
5. Able to communicate by explaining problems and issues related to sharia
6. Able to apply digital skills in the field of sharia studies
7. Able to apply numeracy skills in the field of sharia studies
8. Able to lead oneself, family and society in accordance with laws and regulations which is in line with Al-Quran and As-Sunnah
9. Capable in information management and capable of learning throughout life in the field of sharia studies
10. Able to implement Islamic entrepreneurship as an added value for manage and lead the Muslim community
11. Able to practice ethical values ​​and professionalism as a graduate in field of Islamic Sharia”

1. Pass the Malaysian Certificate of Education (SPM) with at least honors in 3 subjects and passed one of the Arabic subjects or one of the other Islamic Studies subject; or
2. Pass O-Level with at least grade C in 3 subjects and pass one of the Arabic subjects or one of the Studies subjects Islam; or
3. Pass the Malaysian Skills Certificate (SKM) level 3 in a related field; and
4. Pass the Certificate of Islamic Studies or a related field (Level 3, KKM) by getting at least CGPA 2.0; or
5. Malaysian Higher School Certificate (STPM) or equivalent with at least lack of grade C (CGPA 2.0) in 1 subject; and
6. Malaysian Higher Religious Certificate (STAM) (Maqbul rank); or 7. Other qualifications recognized by the Malaysian Government.”
