Diploma in Muamalat Studies (DPM) is one of the study programs offered to give students exposure to the latest and convincing ways of managing and operating muamalat. This program is run by lecturers with extensive experience in Muamalat matters. Students’ learning methods are through lectures, tutorials, scientific training and industrial training.

Diploma in Muamalat Studies (DPM) was introduced at Baitulmal Professional College Kuala Lumpur (KPBKL) for the first intake in April 2015. In accordance with the aims, objectives and learning outcomes of the program, it is hoped that after following this program, KPBKL can produce competent graduates in the field of Islamic finance management and Shariah-compliant business operations in addition to competitive to meet the needs of employers and industries in Malaysia and internationally.

This program aims to produce graduates who:

  • Understand and master the science of business management based on the Islamic principles.
  • Able to apply knowledge of Islamic business management.
  • Able to critically identify Islamic business management issues and propose creative solutions.
  • Master communication skills to clarify and discuss Islamic business management issues.
  • Able to work as a team in diverse backgrounds of faith, religion, and culture.
  • Practicing values, norms, ethics, manners, and professionalism in Islamic business management. Appreciate the need for lifelong learning and information management to appear as a competent business manager assistant and leader.
  • Able to apply entrepreneurial skills as added value to manage business and lead the Muslim community.
  • Able to portray the characteristics of business managers and matured Islamic leaders in facing the challenges of the contemporary ummah.
  • Possessed SPM with at least credit in THREE subjects; OR
  • A pass in Sijil Tinggi Pelajaran Malaysia (STPM) with at least Grade C (GP 2.0) in any subject;
  • A pass in Sijil Tinggi Agama Malaysia (STAM) with at least Grade Maqbul; OR
  • Possessed SKM Level 3 in the related field; OR
  • A Certificate (Level 3, MQF) in the related field with at least CGPA of 2.00; OR
  • Other equivalent qualifications recognised by the Malaysian Government.
