KPBKL Center Of Intellectual Endowment
KPBKL has been recognized by MAIWP as a Mutawalli of Waqf Fund through an approval letter dated 8 NOVEMBER 2018 – Ref. MAIWP.(S)100-6/3/16(27). The implementation of Education Waqf at KPBKL is specialized for the purpose of education and welfare of students and employees of KPBKL.
The establishment of KPBKL Center of Intellectual Endowment KPBKL is to provide facilities for corporate companies and the public to contribute through waqf and endowment.
This center also receives fund donations in the form of wakalah zakat, infaq and corporate social responsibility (CSR) and can collaborate with contributors in organizing programs with beneficiaries.
KPBKL Center of Intellectual Endowment will ensure that all endowment and donated funds are managed in accordance with Shariah and related laws.
"BeKInD" Projects
“BeKInD” Projects is an initiative launched by the Kuala Lumpur Baitulmal Professional College (KPBKL) in mid-2022, now serving as a central focus for the KPBKL Center of Intellectual Endowment. The project aims to enhance educational support for students from marginalized backgrounds, including the poor, needy, and those in the path of Allah (fisabilillah) at KPBKL. Funds raised will be directed towards various development areas, including education, facilities, information technology, libraries, prayer rooms, and smart classrooms.
Form of Contribution
Cash Waqf refers to the act of donating cash to any waqf trustee, where the principal amount is maintained in the form of permanent assets, and the benefits are distributed to the beneficiaries of the waqf (mawquf alaih).
Special Waqf means a waqf established by the donor for specific benefits to the Muslim community according to Sharia law, such as donating land for mosques, prayer halls, religious schools, and Islamic cemeteries designated by the donor.
Zakat Agency is the principle of returning zakat funds by the Islamic Religious Council to entities that pay zakat to the Zakat Center for distribution to eligible beneficiaries (asnaf). Entities allowed to apply for the return of zakat funds include individuals, companies or organizations, employers, and higher education institutions (IPT).
Infaq is something that every believer gives to anyone in need, such as to the elderly, orphans, and charitable homes, with noble intentions.
Corporate Social Responsibility means the obligation of an organization's management to make decisions and take actions that will benefit the welfare and well-being of society as well as the organization itself.
Method of Contribution
This is the method of contribution used by the Intellectual Waqf Center, which involves QR barcodes and Touch ‘n Go e-wallet.
