The Association of Chartered Certified Accountants (ACCA Qualification)

Kolej Profesional Baitulmal Kuala Lumpur (KPBKL) offers an internationally recognized program, the Association of Chartered Certified Accountants (ACCA QUALIFICATION), under the supervision of the Faculty of Techno-Corporate Studies. The program’s first intake was in January 2022.

This program awards a Bachelor’s degree accredited by ACCA. Its introduction aims to produce competitive and competent Muslim professionals in the field of accounting, meeting the needs of employers and industries both in Malaysia and internationally.

The program covers various fields of study including accounting, finance, taxation, auditing, budgeting, and management. Students are exposed to understanding and capability in preparing accounting statements based on international standards. They also gain proficiency in using a wide range of computer applications, as the examinations are conducted through computer-based exams.

This program aims to produce graduates who:

• Are competent and competitive in their chosen fields of work
• Understand and subsequently apply knowledge in related industries
• Demonstrate practical skills, ethical values, and professionalism in their fields
• Exhibit social skills and responsibility
• Master communication skills, take on leadership roles, and are capable of working in teams

• Have knowledge of the latest computer applications in line with the need for lifelong learning
• Are able to apply entrepreneurial skills as added value in business management

1. MUET Band 2 AND Passed ACCA Foundation in Accountancy – (ACCA – FIA)
2. OR Passed Certified Accounting Technician (CAT);
3. OR Passed Sijil Tinggi Persekolahan Malaysia (STPM) or equivalent, with at least a Grade C+ (CGPA 2.33) in any two subjects, and credit in Mathematics at the Sijil Pelajaran Malaysia (SPM) level or its equivalent;
4. OR Passed Matriculation or Foundation or equivalent with a minimum CGPA of 2.50 and credit in Mathematics at the SPM level or its equivalent;
5. OR Passed Diploma in Accounting or related field (Level 4, MQF) with a CGPA of 2.50 or above;
6. OR Passed Diploma London Chamber of Commerce & Industry International Qualifications (LCCIIQ) or equivalent and obtained credit in Mathematics and a pass in English at the SPM level or passed English for Business Level 2 LCCIIQ (if not obtained credit in English at the SPM level);
7. OR Passed Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting (Level 6, MQF) with a CGPA of 2.50 or above;
8. OR Other qualifications recognized as equivalent by the Malaysian Government.

*Note: The credit requirement in Mathematics at the SPM level for candidates (iii) and (iv) can be waived if the qualification includes a Mathematics subject and its achievement is equivalent to/exceeds the credit requirement at the SPM level.
