Diploma in Zakat and Waqf Management is one of the study programs offered to give students exposure to the latest and convincing ways of managing and handling zakat and waqf issues. This program is run by lecturers with extensive experience in Management and Transactions. Student learning methods are through lectures, tutorials, scientific training, and industrial training.

Diploma in Zakat and Waqf Management (DPZW) was first introduced at Baitulmal Professional College Kuala Lumpur (KPBKL) in April 2015. In accordance with the purpose, objectives and learning outcomes of the program, it is hoped that after following this program, KPBKL will produce graduates who are competent in the field of management, especially in the field of zakat and waqf management, in addition to be competitive to meet the needs of employers and industry. Diploma in Zakat and Waqaf (DPZW) offers courses that are relevant to current needs in accordance with the latest level of study. Among the courses offered are :

  6. Fundamentals of Real Estate Management of Waqf and Strata
  7. Fundamentals of Islamic Entrepreneurship

  9. Islamic Marketing
  10. Islamic Management And Development

This program aims to:

  • Create a group of Zakat and Waqf management personnels who are capable of applying knowledge, understanding and analyzing issues and the needs of employers or industries.
  • Produce zakat and waqf assistants who are capable of working in a team to solve cross-disciplinary problems through effective communication and critical thinking.
  • Develop zakat and waqf assistants who constantly improve their knowledge and able to move along with the progress of the current ICT infrastructure to explore new opportunities.
  • Develop zakat and waqf assistant who always adhere to values, ethics, morals, manners and professionalism in offering services.
  1. Passed Sijil Pelajaran Malaysia (SPM) or equivalent with at least THREE (3) honors in any subject and PASS in Mathematics. OR
  2. Pass the Malaysian Higher School Certificate (STPM) with at least Grade C/Certificate Malaysian Higher Education (STAM) is at least Maqbul OR
  3. Pass the Malaysian Skills Certificate (SKM, Level 3) in a recognized related field and passed SPM with a minimum of one (1) honors; OR
  4. Pass the Certificate (Level 3) of the Malaysian Qualifications Framework (KKM) in a related field recognized or equivalent qualifications; OR
  5. Other qualifications recognized as equivalent by the Malaysian Government; OR
  6. For candidates who do not have an Arabic language qualification at the SPM level or equivalent, they have to take an Arabic Language Preparatory course at the beginning of the studies.
