Malaysia has been a leader in the halal industry for nine consecutive years and holds the top position in the Global Islamic Economy Index. The overall value of halal exports in 2022 was RM 59.46 billion, representing 7.4% of the GDP of the nation.It is projected that Malaysia’s Halal Food Industry will grow to USD 113.2 billion (RM 500.17 billion), which is expected to contribute an additional 8.1% to the national GDP.
The Malaysia Government is expecting its global halal industry’s export to surpass the target of RM63.1 billion by 2025. With this growth, it is expected to create 700,000 job opportunities in Halal Industry.
To support this growth, more comprehensive human capital and a competent workforce are needed to ensure the halal supply chain and the integrity of halal products is always guaranteed.
Along with this development, Kolej Profesional Baitulmal Kuala Lumpur (KPBKL) has been recognized as one of the Halal Training Providers (PLH) registered under the Halal Professional Board (HPB), Department of Islamic Development Malaysia or locally known as Jabatan Kemajuan Islam Malaysia (JAKIM) since 2018.

If you are looking to get your business certified with Halal by JAKIM, you should get started with the appointment of Halal Executive to be the person-in-charge in ensuring the business complies with halal procedures and processes. Criteria for Halal Executives are as follows:
If the appointed employee does not hold a Halal Executive Certificate, the company can send the employee to participate in our Professional Halal Executive Training Program.

YBhg. Dr. Ruziah Binti Ghazali is a prominent leader in Malaysia’s Technical and Vocational Education and Training (TVET) sector, recognized with the Special Award for Master Coach in Education Development from TVETecoUSIM. She advocates for Islamic TVET and supports individuals with disabilities, contributing to the book “Nothing is Impossible – Success Stories of Persons with Disabilities.”
As a scholar and Islamic Woman Entrepreneur, she focuses on women’s and community development and was honored as Tokoh Saidatina Aishah during National Women’s Day in 2021.
Dr. Ruziah holds a PhD in Educational Development from Universiti Putra Malaysia, a Master of Science in Educational Science, and a Bachelor of Arts (Hons) in Islamic Studies from the University of Malaya. She is also a licensed Company Secretary and Tax Agent.
